RE: END OF TERM I, 2015 CIRCULAR LETTER.
- Greetings from the Board of Governors, PTA Executive and Staff of Teso College Aloet. Thank you for your continued support of the school in various ways.
- The School has closed for Term I, Holidays today, Thursday, 23rd April, 2015. It will re-open for Term II, on Saturday, 16th May, 2015.
- Academics:
- The progressive Examinations and End of Term Examinations were administered.
- The S.2, S.3, S.4 and S.6 Examinations ended on Wednesday, 22nd April, 2015. The marking will take place over the holidays, and results will be ready at the beginning of Term II.
- The S.1 and S.5 sat for their end of Term Examinations earlier than the rest of the classes. They have been issued with report cards. Students who have not performed well will have a special meeting with the School Administration and the subject teachers on Tuesday, 19th May, 2015 at 9:00a.m.

- Visitation and Career Days:
- You are urged to take the Visitation and Career Days with the seriousness they deserve. We do communicate and discuss important issues concerning your sons on these days.
It is unfortunate that the majority of the S.4 Parents did not turn up for their Careers Day. The success of your son in school depends not only on payment of fees, but also your involvement in other programs. - The Careers Day for the S.5 and S.6 will be held on Saturday, 20th June, 2015 and Visitation Day for Term II, 2015 is scheduled for Saturday, 4th July, 2015. All parents/guardians are urged to attend.

- Co-curricular Activities:
- The school participated in the Post Primary Coca-Cola Championships. We fielded two teams. Unfortunately neither of them qualified for Regional Championship.
- The Sports Day was held on Saturday, 28th March, 2015. The houses that emerged victorious overall in various Games and Athletics were given awards. Prizes were also given to individual participants.
- The school football and Volleyball teams visited a number of sister Institutions for friendly matches. These included St. Peters College Tororo, Dr. Obote’s College, Boroboro and Midland High School in Kaberamaido District. We also hosted Halcyon High School and Amus High School.We also hosted, Halcyon High School and Amus High School.
- Discipline:
- The general discipline of most students this term was good. A few cases of indiscipline were handled by the staff and some parents were invited to school to discuss with the staff the indiscipline of their sons.
- Disaster:
- A heavy storm destroyed a number of structures and installations in West Wing on Thursday, 2nd April, 2015.
These Included:- Dormitories: 05 (five) roofs were severely damaged.
- Ablutions: 03(three) roofs were blown off.
- Pit latrines: 01 (5 Stance) – pit latrine collapsed.
- Administration Block: A section of the roof was blown off.
- Electric Installations: 02 poles and wiring system got damaged.
- Teachers’ houses: Sections of Seven (07) roofs were blown off.
- Students’ property: Mattresses, books and clothes got soaked in water.
- Classrooms: The ridges of one (01) classroom block were blown off.
- I am pleased to report that we have received 500 iron sheets, gauge 28, from the Office of the Prime Minister.
We intend to re-roof some dormitories over the holidays, beginning with Kenyatta and Lumumba Houses, which are asbestos roofed. - Fees Structure:

- Special Request:
- All the S.4s will go out for the field study in Term II. Each student is to pay shs.40,000 (forty thousand shillings only) for facilitation. Also all S.6 students are expected to contribute Ugx15,000 (fifteen thousand shillings) to facilitate Seminars.
- Literature in English Novel: All the S.3 students are required to come along with a Literature in English Novel – Carcase for Hounds – Meja Mwangi, which can be got at school at Ugx8,000 (eight thousand shillings only).
- Reams of Paper: It is the turn for S.4 and S.6 candidates to bring along reams of Rotatrim Printing Paper. They have a lot of academic work next term.
